Speaking at Techfestival

The Daily

Next week, I’ll be in Copenhagen to speak at Techfestival. It’s my first talk in quite a while, and the first one for years where I’m representing myself as opposed to a company.

I have prepared a speech(!) called “In Defense of Screen Time“. I hope to add a perspective to the everlasting question of how kids and families should relate to technology.

If you’re in Copenhagen next week, please stop by and chat! All the details can be found here.

  1. Hey Björn, I’ve been reading your recent posts on the Kids App Market, thanks for those.

I think we’re about to see a new category emerge in this space. In line with the recent trend of self-care apps (sports, mindfulness, yoga, nutrition etc.) parents are increasingly looking for ways to improve the quality of their (family) life and they use technology as an enabler. Whether it’s tracking, finding inspiration or creating habits, people – including parents – want to improve their lives in the real world.

We’ve recently started our ‘Strava for Parenting’ by providing inspiration for parents to spend some undivided attention to their kids. Would love to hear your take on it.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to Copenhagen but I’m very curious about your presentation.

Good luck and hope to hear from you!
