Hello,
I’ve been writing a lot more since I started contributing to Svenska Dagbladet. Turns out I needed deadlines, after all. The timing has been great as technology increasingly overlaps with both politics and finance, and it is playing out for everyone to see. My job is to contextualize and explain this overlap to a broader audience. Take a look below.

P.S – Don’t miss the casting trouble for the GameStop movie at the bottom of the newsletter.
Things I’ve written
- A stock market bubble filled with anger About the ulterior motives behind WallStreetBets and GameStop. This wasn’t only about the money – for many it was personal. And understandable.
- The n00b of Wall Street What happens when gaming and internet culture meets finance? Coupled with apps that allow fast trading with risky derivatives, it create shock waves throughout the whole financial system.
- Apple snubbed Tesla – now they’re competing for the cars of the future About Apple’s car projects, and where it might overlap with Elon Musk’s ambitions for Tesla.
- The storming of the Capitol is a failure for Twitter and Facebook On the failures of regulation and internal policies that brought us an insurrection in the US.
Music Creativity on TikTok
- Mark Ronson posted an instrumental verse to a new song on TikTok the other day. He then let people write and perform their own versions. The results are unbelievably good. Here’s a thread with links to a few of the best ones.

Bonus Casting, GameStop Edition
When the GameStop movie comes out, Nicholas Braun is going to have to choose between being the CEO of Robinhood, or DeepFuckingValue himself.
