Here is some weekend reading about where tech meets politics and finance. This is the area that I have been covering for the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet.
Below are the translated, English, versions of these columns. I also added a few jazz variations on a theme at the end.
Enjoy!

Three versions of The Thrill is Gone
This jazz classic has gone a few iterations (and can easily be confused with the blues song that has the same name). Here are three very different takes that I like:
- The original version – Chet Baker sings a sad, toned down version with a piano and a muted trumpet in the background.
- The melodic version – Monica Zetterlund wraps it in a delicate little jazz ensemble production which takes you to Southern Europe on a summer evening.
- The modern version – Swedish singer Ellen Andersson moves it closer to dreamy film music and adds an unbelievable piano performance by Joel Lyssarides.
